Follow signs to Town Hall for registration and start. Limited changing and toilet facilities are available

Course: USATF Certified 5K Loop begins at Town Hall and ends at Brown Shattuck Park.
Splits at 1 mi. & 2 mi. USATF Certificate # NH 95013WN.

Registration: Bradford Town Hall. Day of race registration 7:30-8:45 a.m. fee $15 per person.

BACC Meeting 5/12/10

Minutes accepted and approved from April 14th meeting.

Director’s Report - Kate:

Farmers Market presented new by-laws to Selectmen; Cheryl Behr suggested refund incentive which was adopted. Next meeting May 17th, at 7:00 PM.

Natures Circle Day camp deadline is June 11th.

James Thompson of IAM NET installed virus software to computers.
Garden maintenance - Bradford Barter cleaned up, raised bed gardens and will plant flowers and vegetables around May 26th; Thanks to Mary Smith’s Brownie Troop for planting flowers in front of BACC.

Esoteric discussion group will meet 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month; Group is free.

Artist program still on hold.

Baton Twirling Classes planned for May and June
The Bradford Batonnettes will start classes on Wednesday, May 5th with Donna Acker.
Class and registration will begin at 3:15 PM at the Bradford Area Community Center with classes continuing on Wednesdays during the months of May and June. Classes are for children  4 years old and up. The cost for the two month Session is $50 for the first child and half price for the second child. The batonettes will perform at the 4th of July parade.
Esoteric Discussion Group
This open forum discussion group will be held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM at the Bradford Area Community Center. It is designed to communicate cutting edge concepts in this changing world. It is free and open to all, voluntary contributions are accepted. Bring your topic suggestions.
Moderated by Jane E. King, known for her expertise in Energy Medicine and Hypnosis.

Archery Classes
Bradford Parks and Recreation Department is offering a spring program of archery classes for the four Fridays in May. They will begin May 7th and will be held at Brown-Shattuck Memorial field on Cilley Lane in Bradford, NH.

Beginners class will be from 4:00-5:00 PM and advanced
class will be from 5:00-6:00 PM .

The cost for the four classes is $45. Registration can be made in advance
by calling 938-6228.
Beginners: Ever wanted to shoot an arrow? Try target archery. Learn safety, form and get to use a real bow and arrows. Besides having fun, you will understand the importance of being careful and responsible for yourself and other archers. Equipment provided. Ages 7-Senior Citizens

Advanced Archers: Learn advanced shooting techniques, play safe games and enjoy sharing your sport with other archers.
Become an Expert Archer with the use of bow sights and other accessories.
Equipment provided or bring your own. Ages 8-Senior Citizens

Marcia E.Wyman - Founder and Director of the New England School of Archery, Inc. founded 1986. She is also the 2004 National Indoor Woman’s Recurve Bow Champion and is a Level IV National Coach.

Belly Dancing Update
The recent belly dancing classes scheduled for Mondays have been cancelled due to low registration numbers. However, please call the BACC at 938-6228 if you are interested in a Saturday introductory workshop.
Participants will be introduced to the cultural and exercise benefits of belly dancing.

French’s Park Clean-up

The Annual clean-up day will be held on May 15th from 9-1 pm at French’s Park.  Snacks and drinks will be provided. Please bring your own implements and garden gloves if possible.

Nature’s Circle Day Camp for Youth

Summer is almost here and school will be over before we know it. Do you need a safe, quality place for your child to learn new skills and have fun while you work?  Nature’s Circle Day Camp for Youth can help with a community–based, fun, educational and affordable program for your son or daughter. The Nature’s Circle Summer Day Camp creates connections with nature through personal experience for children grades 1 through 5. Children are encouraged to expand their relationship to their environment and to connect with the community through fun outdoor activities. Participants will be learning new skills, meeting the people in their community learning about their environment and working as a team to solve problems. Children will also have the opportunity to improve their swimming skills or learn to swim. The home base for the day camp is the Bradford Area Community Center, 134 E Main St, Bradford, NH .  Campers may register by the week. Cost is $ 140 / week non – residents  $ 130 / week for residents.  Day to day spots are $35 and will be filled if there is space available on a first come first serve basis.

Camp begins July 5th and runs weekly through August 13th -
