Bradford Revitalization Meeting Minutes 01.07.14

Bradford Revitalization Meeting

January 7, 2014

Jim Bibbo spoke about the Central NH Regional Planning & their goals.

Revolving Loan Fund & the TIF program will be discussed at the February meeting.

When discussing what the businesses are looking for in moving to Bradford, we found 5 priorities:

• Aesthetically pleasing

• Community activities

• More dining options

• Municipal parking

• Streamline the processes with town government for applications – signs and permits…..

The Master Plan for Bradford is due for review; the Revitalization Committee was asked if they have any interest in planning.

As of 1/7/14, 21 surveys have been completed on Survey Monkey. (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JV55ZZX) There is also a survey on the back page of The Bradford Bridge and those can be turned in at the town office (BACC) and the transfer station. The committee reviewed the surveys and found the information very helpful. It definitely helps the committee for future planning. The idea of doing another survey of the residents that have used the Planning Board & Zoning Board may be insightful to the boards.

The committee is going to look into the E. Warren Smith Fund, Parks & Recreation committee to see what funding is available for activities. The committee is in agreement of trying to keep costs very low to the residents.

Sonny Harris, Selectman Representative, found an engineer who would love to help out in the designing of the bridge on Breezy Hill Road. He is qualified in bridge work.
