Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes

June 26, 2017

Pledge of Allegiance

Meeting called to order at 5:56PM (Following interview with architect for the Town Hall)

Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman; Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator and Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance

Appearances:

  1. Town Hall Update: The Selectmen have met with three qualified candidates/firms to assume architectural responsibilities for Town Hall. Following this meeting, they will go into a non-public session to discuss the three candidates and make a decision.

Regular Business:

  1. Fourth of July Fundraising: Karen placed a blurb the July Bridge indicating the Selectmen’s Office would accept donations for the Fireworks. The Board indicated that they will be doing fundraising on the day of the event.
  2. The Board signed the Atlas PyroVision Contract addendum
  3. The Board Accepted a donation for the Independence Day Trust Fund
  4. The Board signed Intent to cut for Map 10/Lot 10
  5. The Board signed Intent to cut for Map 6/Lot 115
  6. The Board signed Loader purchase documents and reminded the public that the tax rate will not be affected for three years.
  7. The Board signed the Treasurer Request for Town Hall Bond Funds

Other Business:

  1. Letter to Bradford Police Department: John read the letter thanking the Bradford Police Department for their assistance in escorting the Kearsarge Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse team home from their Championship win.
  2. The Board discussed the complaint submitted by William Curless regarding water running from his neighbor’s property onto his right of way. The Board determined this was a civil matter and/or a DES issue.

Minutes of June 19, 2017 meeting were reviewed and accepted without changes.

The next Selectmen’s meeting will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Bradford Community Center.

Meeting adjourned to non-public session per RSA 91-A:3IIc  at 6:10PM.

The Select Board voted 3-0 to engage Jay Barrett of Barrett Architecture, PC as architect for the Town Hall Project.

Meeting adjourned to public session at 6:43PM.
