Subcommittee reports:

  1. Michele Halsted updated the group on the RHC activities. They are continuing their fundraising activities and will be approaching area and out of the area businesses for support.  Michele remarked that the RHC has raised more than is reflected in their cash balances as they have contributed to asbestos studies, prepared and distributed printed materials and committed to funding the archeological study.  They will also provide ½ of the cost ($4200) of the SFC specification plans ($8400) needed to get bid prices on the fire suppression system.  The Town Trust fund will pay for the remainder ($4200).  The Bog People have made a donation and offered to perform a concert with proceeds going to the Town Hall project.
  2. Marcia Keller presented the following list of items currently being worked on. Placement of cistern in the basement plan, installation of new septic system – plans already approved, posting of an RFP by Nov 30th with return date of Dec 30th of all site work, RFP for sprinkler to be complete and returned by December 30th.   Items still under discussion are the type of heating system and the location of the cistern.  The size of the cistern was estimated at 15,000 gallons.  Pellet boilers, Oil and Propane are being considered for the heating system.
  3. Claire James reported on the questions raised at the information program held at the Elementary School on Nov. 14th. Claire asked everyone to forward questions to her to be collected, answered and posted on websites. She stressed how important it was to reach out to people individually.  She has prepared a list of over 200 names and email addresses and suggested using email to reach out to people on a personal level.  Jane Johnson asked if town meeting would explain what our money was paying for prior to the bond vote.  The cost figures will be released as soon as the RFP’s are reviewed.

The required actions before town meeting were reviewed.  The first date for a bond hearing is January 8th – the last date is February 22nd.  The RHC will continue fundraising and Claire is planning one or two more information sessions.  Michele requested any leads on former residents of Bradford or out of the area be given to the RHC to increase their fund raising pool.

Volunteers were welcomed and the next meeting was scheduled for December 10th at 5:30 in the BACC youth room.  Meeting was adjourned at 7:00pm
