Board Meeting for the Trustees to Brown Memorial Library
Attendance included: Joan Perry, Bea Howe, Amy Blitzer, Penny Ulrich, Brooks McCandlish, Bob Manchester, Rod Jones, Meg Fearnley & Erica Gross
1. The minutes from the last meeting were read and accepted.
2. Treasurer’s report was read and accepted. A motion was made to accept all gifts and donations made to Brown Memorial Library from April 7 thru May 5, in the amount of $104.50.
3. Librarian’s report was read and accepted.
4. Concrete still has not been poured for the book return. Bea spoke with Steve Lucier. He said that as soon he is free he will be by the Library to measure the spot and then will pour.
5. The fire alarm issue is being put to rest since a bill has still not been received.
6. Under the Guidelines for the Internet Policy – the third paragraph will be changed to read; Patrons under the age of 12 may use the internet with a signed slip from a parent.
7. The float committee will have a practice with our instruments at the June Trustees meeting.
8. All volunteers have been scheduled for the next book sale on May 24th from 9:00-2:00.
9. The Friends of the Library have their annual meeting on May 21st at 4:30. All are welcome. Audrey (Friend) has suggested that the Friends pay for a wired doorbell downstairs and a separate light for the elevator.
10. Next meeting is June 2, 2008 at 7:00pm.
