Redesign of bradfordnh.org

In an effort to make the website more usable (and correct some bugs that crept into the old site), we have been working on this revised version of bradfordnh.org.

NOTE: If you are viewing the website on a tablet or iPad, you may need to scroll down the page to find the categories and links.

The main change is the loss of the second menu bar which listed posting categories for minutes, public notices, etc (these are called “posts”). All of the information is still online and available, but there are now some additional options to navigate the site. The biggest change is in the use of “categories”. The original categories still exist and may be viewed, but navigation of the site has been expanded in a number of ways:

  • In the top menu you can click on “Posts” which will list all posts to the website chronologically from most recent to earliest.
  • The “Recent Posts” still exists on the right hand side of the page and you can click on any item.
  • All posts are available by category on the right hand of the screen (under the “recent posts” section). If you wish view the minutes from the Select Board, you can simply select the category “Select Board” and it will list all postings categorized in this manner.
  • When in any individual post, you will see a navigation line (that changes based on the context) under the post title (e.g., “Bradford, New Hampshire > Minutes > Minutes > Select Board > Selectmen Minutes 12.21.15”). If you click on the category prior to the post name, it will navigate you to another section of site.
  • To improve ease of navigation, all posts, when viewed in chronological view, now show the first few lines of the post. If you wish to read the entire post, simply click on the “Read More” button.
  • At the bottom of individual posts you will see clickable “Previous Post” and “Next Post” areas that will take you in the designated direction.

We hope you find these changes efficient and helpful to your experience using bradfordnh.org. Don’t forget, you can always use the search field to find specific information.
