Meeting called to order at 5:06 p.m.
Present: Marlene Freyler, Jarna Perkins, Erica Gross
1. Marlene made a motion to approve the minutes of June 21, 2022. Erica seconded. All in favor, 3-0.
2. Erica will draft a new cemetery deed that will include more pertinent information useful to the deed owners, town clerk and the Cemetery Commission.
3. Regulations for visitors to the cemeteries and regulations for burials will also be drafted. These will be given to families when they purchase a new deed.
4. Jarna will speak to Fritz about cleaning up an area in Pleasant Hill to make sure that all the graves stones are visible.
5. Discussion of discontinuing usage of cemeteries when they are full or have irregular ground issues, etc. Other towns in the area classify their cemeteries as a “Historical Cemetery” and do not allow any more burials.
6. Jarna reported that the iron (rebar) fence along the road at the Baptist Cemetery on Main Street needs to be repaired. The welds have separated and are a safety hazard. Marlene will contact someone to have it repaired.
