Announcement: Road Posting Notification

Town of Bradford, NH Beginning February 23rd, 2017 through May 1st, 2017 All Class V Roads will be restricted to a maximum of 6 tons total weight of vehicle and load and all Class VI Roads will be closed to wheeled vehicles.  Written exemptions may be obtained from the Highway Road Agent at 938-5916. Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes April 17, 2017 Pledge of Allegiance Meeting called to order at 5:30pm Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator; Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance Appearances Anita Blakeman-Timber: Anita informed the Board that there is a new method for calculating timber tax using a new matrix system created by the State. Anita does not agree this is the best way to calculate the tax and the Board agreed. Anita will continue to calculate timber tax as she has been, while remaining within the regional average. The contractor is hoping to pour concrete next week. There is still clarification needed on the egress in the southeast corner. Brackett will work on that. Financing has not yet been decided. We are working to get the best rates available. Regular Business Autocraft Update – Cleanup work at the site is proceeding. There have been different issues with a couple of vehicles. CEMETERY MINUTES APRIL13 ,2017 Members present : Trustees: Jane Lucas ,Carey Rodd and Diane Whalley The minutes of March 9 were read and accepted by J. Lucas C. Rodd and D. Whalley   OLD BUSINESS: Discussion was held regarding the inability of the Bradford Trustees of the Trust Funds to come forth with funds that the Trustees of the Cemeteries are able to use for the particularly expensive tree removal and headstone repair. Diane will discuss this with town officials. Diane will contact Jim about the signs we need posted at Sunny Plains and Pleasant Hill cemeteries reminding dog walkers to pick up the poop left by their dogs Carey has volunteered to contact the state Diversion Group for community…

Bradford Conservation Commission Meeting / Draft Minutes 18 April 2017, 7pm at Brown Memorial Library Present: George Beaton, Seth Benowitz, Nathanial Bruss, J Ann Eldridge, Meg Fearnley, Scott MacLean Minutes from March 20 meeting reviewed and accepted. Meg presented the Treasurer’s report. NHACC dues have been paid for this year. We need some additional print copies of the NRI. Committee approved funds necessary to print 5 copies. George attended a recent workshop on ‘Conservation Options for Land Owners’. The workshop was organized and led by ASLPT. Among the people presenting were Andy Deegan (ASLPT), Van Webb (Sunapee Conservation Commission Chairperson), and Rebecca Courser (land owner for a very large easement in Warner.
