Forest Fire Weather for Thursday, 6.11.15

The predicted fire danger for today is a Class 3.  Temperature: Today will be partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with temperatures in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Humidity: Minimum relative humidity values will be between 29 and 46 percent.  Winds: will range from 13 to 14 mph with gusts between 21 and 33 mph.  Warm, dry, and windy conditions will elevate the fire danger for most of the State today.  Humidity levels will increase tomorrow with showers and thunderstorms expected tomorrow night and Saturday.  Dry conditions return on Sunday.

The predicted fire danger for today is a Statewide Class 3.  Class 3: High; Fuels in open areas and sunny slopes may spread rapidly. Today will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures: Will be in the lower to mid 80s.  Humidity: Minimum relative humidity values will be between 47 and 55 percent.  Winds: Will range from 9 to 12 mph with possible gusts between 17 and 24 mph.  Warm and humid conditions with scattered thunderstorms are expected for the next few days.  Some of the thunderstorms could produce gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall.

The predicted fire danger for today is a Statewide Class 3.  Class 3: High Fuels in open areas and sunny slopes may spread rapidly.  Temperature: Today will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s.  Humidity: Minimum relative humidity values will be between 42 and 54 percent. Winds: Will range from 10 to 12 mph with gusts between 19 and 31 mph.  Increasing humidity levels should reduce the fire danger slightly today.  Warm and humid air with scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected for the rest of the week.

WHAT DOES THE CLASS DAY MEAN? Class 1: Low   Fires are not likely, it may be raining. Class 2: Moderate  Fires are possible in light fuels, day after a rain. Class 3: High  Fuels in open areas and sunny slopes may spread rapidly. Class 4:Very High Fires start easily from all causes. Fires spread and increase in intensity rapidly. Spot fires occur. Fire will burn deep, except in the spring. Class 5: Extreme Fires will spread very rapidly with severe spotting. Difficult to extinguish, mop-up requires a great deal of effort.

The predicted fire danger for today is a Class 3 .  Class 3: High Fuels in open areas and sunny slopes may spread rapidly  Today will be partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with a slight chance of showers in the north region.  Temperatures will be in the upper 50s to lower 70s.  Minimum relative humidity values will be between 25 and 45 percent.  Winds will range from 12 to 14 mph with gusts between 23 and 33 mph.  Gusty winds and dry conditions will keep the fire danger high for most of the State today.  Stronger winds and drier air are expected for tomorrow.

The predicted fire danger for today is a Class 3.  Today will be partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.  Temperatures will be in the mid 60s to lower 70s.  Minimum relative humidity values will be between 19 and 27 percent.  Winds will range from 6 to 11 mph, with gusts between 17 and 20 mph in the southeastern part of the State.  Low humidity and occasional gusty winds will keep the fire danger high for most of the State today.  Otherwise, light winds and slightly lighter winds will result in moderate fire danger for the northern region.  Overall, dry conditions will persist through the weekend.  

Forest Fire Weather for Wednesday, 05.20.15

The predicted fire danger for today is a Statewide Class 3.  Temperature: Today will be partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with temperatures in the upper 50s to mid 60s.  Humidity: Minimum relative humidity values will be between 24 and 34 percent.  Winds: Will range from 13 to 18 mph with gusts between 23 and 48 mph.  Although some rain fell across the region yesterday, all of the State remains under abnormally dry conditions.  Gusty winds and low humidity levels will dry out surface fuels quickly and increase the potential for fires to spread rapidly.   Dry weather is expected through the weekend.

The predicted fire danger for today is a Class 4 for Merrimack County.  A Red Flag Warning in in effect from 12pm until 8pm tonight for Strafford, Merrimack, Hillsborough, Rockingham, and Cheshire Counties.  Today will be partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 50s to upper 60s.  Minimum relative humidity values will be between 24 and 33 percent.  Winds will range from 13 to 16 mph with gusts between 25 and 41 mph.  Low humidity and gusty winds will elevate the fire danger for much of the State today.   Most of the southern counties received very little precipitation yesterday.  Surface fuels will dry rapidly in other areas that did receive rainfall.  Cooler temperatures and good humidity recovery tonight will…
