Bradford Conservation Commission

Present: Brooks McCandlish, J. Ann Eldridge, Amy Blitzer, alternate, seated for Carol Meise. Meg Fearnley present via phone.
Secretary’s notes: Meeting notes of July 21, 2009 will be reviewed at next month’s meeting for larger participation.
Treasurer’s notes: Interest earned. No transactions.
Correspondence: Letters from DES re: Expedited Minimum Impact Wetlands Permit, owner Duffet, requests for further information were recieved.
Information received re: Liberty Elm program. Voted to proceed with this. Will recontact Town Hall for signature and fax to appropriate agency.
Discussed public presentation on coyotes with Chris Schadler. Date set for September 25th. Cost of $175 plus gas and gratuity, Trustees of library voted to participate. Bradford Fish and Game Club also participating. Location will be the Elementary School. Letter of confirmation received. $15.00 due for use of school. Posters designed by Meg. Article prepared for September edition of Bridge and Intertown Record.
Article for Bridge also written re: Natural Resources Inventory survey. Possibility of including survey insert in Bridge, depending on availability. If this is the case, voted to expend funds for this purpose. Also voted to reimburse Brooks for costs incurred in printing and mailing survey. (Town printer proved cumbersome)
New stream crossing rules discussed. This information will be re-sent to all members.
Correction made to website address recently set up for Natural Resource Inventory information during update. A separate subcommittee meeting will be held with Northern Geomantics, possibly Friday August 21, to review draft maps.
