Bradford Hazard Mitigation Plan 2018 Public Information Meeting on September 17

BRADFORD:  Sep 17, 2018 – Local community leaders are taking steps to reduce the effects of Bradford’s next natural disaster event, including flooding, storms, severe winds and winter weather. A Hazard Mitigation Committee comprised of Town Departments, Boards, emergency personnel, and community stakeholders has completed development of the Town’s updated draft Bradford Hazard Mitigation Plan 2018. This updated Plan is required to be approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) every five years to maintain continued eligibility for federal mitigation project funding.

A PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 5:30 PM at the Bradford Area Community Center, 134 East Main Street, Bradford during the Board of Selectmen’s regular meeting to discuss the Plan and listen to public feedback on the document. All are invited to attend and participate.

The draft Bradford Hazard Mitigation Plan Update 2018 and the associated Maps of the Plan will be available for review at the Town Office and online at www.bradfordnh.org.
