PLANNING BOARD

August 9, 2016

 

Meeting called to order by Claire James, Vice Chair, at 7:08PM.

Review and Consideration of Minutes

Minutes of July 12, 2016 were approved with the following corrections: Remove Garret Bauer as present for the meeting and place him as absent.

Tin Shop ADA compliant add: “assessable” by adding a ramp and handicap restrooms.

Minutes of July 26, 2016 wee approved with the following correction: Remove Michael James as present for the meeting and place him as absent.

 

Appearances:

Elyce Reny: Wants to subdivide her property on Deer Valley Rd (Map5/Lot55) Currently she has 5.07 acres and she would like to give +- 3 acres to her daughter. Claire explained the approval process to Elyce and informed her that there needs to be a completed application along with plans before the Board can approve or deny the application. The Board also informed Elyce that she will need State approval because of the lot size and if her application is approved by the Planning Board it will be conditional on the State approval.

 

William C. Heselton: (Map9/Lot45) William would like to have a junkyard on 2.9 acres of the +-120 acres on that property, pushed back on the land where the stone wall is located. Sonny expressed that he feels this is a good use of the property. The Board informed William that he will have to present this to the Zoning Board in order to get a business approval. Molly Hopkins (ZBA secretary) will add William to the September ZBA agenda.

 

Master Plan: There are 56 hard copies of completed surveys and Claire is continuing to enter them all into Survey Monkey, by next meeting they will all be entered. Once all surveys have been entered the Regional Planning Commission will be putting together a report and once they have completed that they will send the report to the Planning Board.

 

Sign Ordinance: The subcommittee has met and they are 25% through the sign ordinance. They also reviewed 8 other surrounding Towns sign ordinances and compared them to Bradford. The subcommittee also reviewed the application process and they would like to clean it up a little and streamline the process. At some point the subcommittee would also like to invite a member of the State to attend one of their meetings to learn more about the State Regulations. Their next meeting is on 8.15.16.

 

Gravel Pits: Claire is going to research the current gravel pits in town and make sure they are all up to date on their renewals and inspections. Claire will report back to the Board at the next meeting.

 

 

The next Planning Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday August 23, 2016 at 7:00pm at BACC.
