TOWN HALL RESTORATION

Call to Order and Roll Call:
Eileen Kelly, Chair called the meeting to order with Marcia Keller, Carol Walker, Sandy Paul, John Greenwood, John Pfeifle, Mel Pfeifle, Dick Keller, Harry Wright, Jim Bibbo, and Marge Cilley Secretary present.
Also present was Dave Drasba, Joe Campbell, North Branch Construction and Jim Bruss.
Review and Consideration of August 15, 2013 minutes:
Motion was made to approve the minutes of August 15, 2013 as presented by Marcia Keller. Seconded by Jim Bibbo. Motion carried unanimously.
Dave Drasba and Joe Campbell, North Branch Construction:
Dave Drasba presented a group of plans showing a scaled back edition of the original plans and discussed what could be done to lower the cost and still make the plan feasible. Joe Campbell gave a new estimated figure of $1.3 which included the septic and architectural fees. One suggestion was to move the downstairs bathrooms to the front. Also discussed is the 10 X 15 foot cistern which would be in the basement floor level. Between 300 and 400 square feet would be lost by not building the bump out under the stage addition.
The second floor will not be completed, with no sprinkler system working at this time, nor would the elevator be installed. There would not be any bathrooms on the second floor.
After much discussion with different ideas it was decided that Dave Drasba would re-arrange some of the plans and come back with new plans, showing some of the concerns.
Grants:
Land & Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) Grant has been applied for, and the update is due October/November. They may come in for a site visit, and a decision will be made in December.
Fundraising:
Several methods of fundraising were discussed.
Research for Handicapped accessibility and availability as well as costs of same will be done.
Motion was made by Marcia Keller to keep the back west corner by the Selectmen’s office in the plans and obtain the cost of it. Seconded by Marge Cilley. No vote was taken.
John Greenwood will check to see if he can meet with Jim Bruss, Bruss Construction on Wednesday.
There will be a continuation of this meeting on Thursday evening, September 19, 2013, at 7:00pm which will be posted.
