Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes

July 10, 2017

Pledge of Allegiance

Meeting called to order at 5:30PM

Roll Call- John Pfeifle, Chairman; Sonny Harris, Selectman; Jim Bibbo, Selectman; Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator and Marilyn Gordon, Treasurer were in attendance

Appearances:

  1. Town Hall Update: The Selectmen have engaged Barrett Architecture of White River Junction VT to move forward with the project. Jay Barrett is moving quickly on the project and has spoken with many of the parties involved including the Fire Marshal and SFC. He has not been able to reach anyone at Eckman Engineering but has been in contact with an engineer in WRJ with whom he has worked extensively. We are expecting to have a scope and fee document from him soon.

Regular Business:

  1. CAP Lease: Members of the BACC Governance Board were present and appreciated the opportunity to weigh in on the CAP lease. The topic of the movie license came up. The Friends of the BACC pay the annual fee for this license. An organization must have a license to show movies to the public. The Seniors, who use this license monthly, are the most frequent users. The Selectmen felt that having the license benefits the Town and agreed to include it in the Town’s 2018 Operating Budget. The annual fee for the license is currently $575.
  2. The Board voted 3-0 in favor of submitting a letter of support for the Rail Trail project to the NH Department of Parks and Recreation.
  3. The Board Accepted a donation for the Independence Day Trust Fund
  4. The Board Accepted a donation for the Town Hall Restoration Trust Fund
  5. The Board Accepted a donation for the Increased Fireworks Display
