TOWN OF BRADFORD

BUDGET COMMITTEE

December 15, 2016

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by Beth Downs.

Members Present: Beth Downs; Dick Keller; Chris Mock; Kathy Rodgers; Dave Nunnally; Michael James (via phone); John Pfeifle, Selectman (via phone); Karen Hambleton, Town Administrator

Review and Consideration of Minutes:

Motion made to approve minutes with no corrections. Vote was unanimous

Rules of Procedure and Code of Conduct:

Motion to adopt Rules of Procedure and Code of Conduct, Seconded, Vote 7-0

Review quarterly expense report:

The Town received the invoice from Henniker Rescue. The invoice was for approximately $97,000.00 – $22,000 more than budgeted.  John informed the Committee that he has asked department heads to limit their end of year spending because the budget is tight. Among the lines over budget are Legal and Insurance. The Committee reviewed all expenses.

Review Budgets that have been submitted:

It was suggested that the Committee members review the overall budgets and bring their comments to the next meeting. By January 6, 2017 the Selectmen will have finished their input on the budgets and it available to the Budget Committee.

Other business:

Dave requested the maintenance records on the existing loader; Karen will get this information to Dave. The Board will also like to see quotes on the compressor from the Fire Department.

The next Budget Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Community Center. The following meeting will be on January 19th at 6:00pm.

As there was no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting adjourned at 7:26.
