Discussed presentation by Terry Knowles at 4/29/19 Selectmen’s meeting. Terry provided valuable information on financial management of the trust accounts; reviewed MS-9.
Discussed the job descriptions for sexton/custodian/maintenance; several on file. Carey offered to work on consolidating into one job description.
Discussion of lot sizes & pricing:
Currently: Single Lot (5 x 10) – $100
Double Lot (10 x 10) – $200
Quad Lot (10 x. 20) – $300
Review of town ordinance (1987) reads, “effective as of February 1, 1988 … the price per lot whenever new lots are sold shall not be less than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars…”
Brainstorming for public hearing and/or town meeting:
- Removal of perpetual care [must be done at town meeting]
- Lot pricing
- Removal
of shrubs
- Flowers permitted for 4 weeks/30 days
- Prohibition of shrines
