CEMETERY MEETING November 12, 2015
Members present: Carey Rodd, Jane Lucas and Diane Whalley
OLD BUSINESS:
The minutes of the October 8th were reviewed and accepted by C .Rodd, J .Lucas and Diane Whalley.
Carey Rodd presented the 3 new signs with the hardware for mounting to the posts which will be put up at Marshall, Presby and New Pond cemeteries. Hopefully, this will be done this fall; time permitting.
The fall cleanup is underway
A warrant will be presented at town meeting for $10,000 .Diane will contact Dawn Pettiglio for a balance in the headstone trust. There are still 30 headstones designated to be repaired in the future.
The $1500 tree budget will be used up before the end of the year on other at risk trees not identified in the July bids
Discussion was held regarding some updates in the Maintenance /Custodial job description that will be up for bid for 2016.
NEW BUSINESS:
Jane presented information that she had received from Perry Bros. Memorial Co. in Concord of the replacement cost of headstones if trees fell and memorials were damaged. Jane and Diane plan to have information of on-going costs in keeping the cemeteries safe and presentable for Town Meeting 2016
