Bradford Parks and Recreation is hosting a Community Involvement Fair on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 6-8 pm at the Bradford Area Community Center.
This event is a casual way for new people to meet Board members and learn more about Town Boards and organizations. Libby Curtis Webb from Parks and Rec will be doing a fun ice breaker activity at the start to get everyone warmed up and ready to mingle.
To be a success we need currently serving Town Board members to attend. Please have 1 or 2 members from your Board attend this event (don’t send too many as we don’t want to have a quorum from any Board). Please come prepared to discuss what your board does, what the time commitment is, exciting projects or goals you’re working on, etc. The format of this event is casual and conversational, you won’t need to get up and make a speech in front of the group (unless you want to), just be prepared to have conversations with attendees.
Light refreshments will be served. There will be free childcare on site for attendees.
Earlier this year we hosted this event and had a great turnout, and several attendees went on to run for office. Please join us and help spread the word. We NEED more new help in town.
