ANNUAL FUN DAY SEPT.18

Dear Friends,

 

Bradford’s annual Family Fun Day is at Bradford Elementary School this year, inconjunction with an event supporting a local family.

Join us this Sunday 9/18 from 11amto 4pm. Support a good cause and enjoy a pleasant, early-fall afternoon with outdooractivities designed for young families. Activities include:

  • Food & Beverages (including homemade soups, chili and chowders and homemade deserts)
  • Cotton Candy & Popcorn
  • Kid- and Family-Friendly Games & Contests (including the ever-popular “toilet bowl toss”)
  • Obstacle Course
  • Face Painting
  • Apple Pie Baking Content*
  • Apple Pie Eating Content
  • Safety Demonstrations by First Responders
  • “Reptiles on the Move”     (where you can learn about and meet a variety or reptiles, including     turtles, tortoises, lizards and big snakes!)
  • Kid-Friendly Crafts
  • White Elephant Table (featuring     inexpensive toys, games and child-friendly treasures for the kids to buy     with their pennies, nickels and dimes)
  • Area Vendors

We are still collecting white elephant items. ContactMargaret Raymond (603-938-5392) ifyou would like to donate anything or if you can help fill in any of theremaining volunteer slots available. Late-registering vendors are also stillwelcome.

*PIE BAKING CONTENT RULES

  •  All pies must be submitted to judges by 1PM on Sunday 9/18
  • Only 1 pie per entrant
  • Pie must be apple only
  • Pie must be made by entrant
  • Include ingredient card with registration
  • Use non-returnable container
  • Pies will be judged on overall appearance & taste
  • Prizes will be awarded
  • In the event of a tie, there will be a taste-off

 

This event is sponsored by the Bradford Parks &Recreation Department. Please come to support the department and yourcommunity.

 

The main goal of every Family Fun Day is to provide localfamilies with reasonably priced and fun family activities. Therefore, althoughfundraising is not the primary focus, any proceeds from the sale ofconcessions, white elephant sales, raffles, etc. will go to support futureParks & Rec. Dept. programs. In addition, any profits are being split withthe Kearsarge Area Preschool (KAP), which is a local, non-profit childcarecooperative that provides affordable and flexible childcare options to areafamilies.
