PLANNING BOARD MINUTES

MAY 27, 2014

7:00PM

Call To Order and Roll Call:

Marcia Keller, Chair called the meeting to order at 7:00pm with Erich Caron, Claire James, Don Jackson, Mark Keith, Jim Bibbo, Steve Chase, Alternate, Sonny Harris arrived at 7:20pm, and Marge Cilley, Secretary present.

Review and Consideration of April 22 and May 13 minutes:

Motion was made by Jim Bibbo to approve the April 22, 2014 minutes. Seconded by Erich Caron. Motion carried 6-0.

Motion was made by Jim Bibbo to approve the minutes of May 13, 2014. Seconded by Erich Caron. Don Jackson and Mark Keith abstained. Motion carried 4-0.

Conceptual Consultation – Barbara Southard – Map 10, Lot 42:

No appearance this meeting.

Conceptual Consultation – Mark & Laura Black – 24 East Shore Drive – Map 22, Lot 13:

Mr. and Mrs. Black came before the Planning Board as suggested by Walter Royal, Code Enforcer regarding building a 12 x 20 deck. The Planning Board advised the Blacks that they actually need to go before the Zoning Board of Adjustment, which they will do at their next meeting on June 4, 2014.

Discuss Language for Excavation Amendment:

Steve Chase and Mark Keith are collaborating on extending the Excavation Language to four years and put in language regarding inspection. This will involve a report from Mary Pinkham Langer from DES. Bruce Edwards advised he has not received any report from the State at this time. This will be brought up at the June 10, 2014 meeting.

Historical Society & RSA 674:54,IIa:

Discussion ensued regarding the Historical Society and their making plans to move the old Post Office to the Marshall property, which is town owned property and being a non Governmental Entity to be in compliance with RSA 674:54,IIa need to file a Site Plan. An overall documentation of plan should be made available. This information will be forwarded to the Chair of the Historical Society, Tim Rodd for them to be made aware of this prior to making additions to the property.

Mention was made of the Zoning Board of Adjustment enforcement letters that the Selectmen have forwarded to residents who are in non compliance of codes, of which three have been granted an extension of time.

Sidewalk Engineers:

Marcia Keller, Chair brought up the obliteration of the directional arrows at the in and out at Pizza Chef by the Sidewalk installation, and they should be re-painted, which does show on the Site Plan of which a copy was given to the Administrator. The same thing applies between the Pizza Chef and the Bank. A letter shall be forwarded to the Selectmen.

CIP:

Don Jackson reported on the CIP meeting which was held on May 20, 2014 and Departments represented were: the Library, Community Center, Police Department and Transfer Station. The CIP has two meetings scheduled on Wednesday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 17th.

It was strongly suggested that the Zoning Board of Adjustment get their tri-folds completed for convenience to the pubic.

No other business to come before the board, meeting adjourned 7:30pm.
